Buhler, KS- Last year the Buhler High girls golf team ended their season by qualifying their whole varsity team for the State tournament after finishing third at Regionals.

This summer, freshman golfer Anika Paulsrudd finished in first place at the 2024 Hutchinson City Junior Golf Championship held at Carey Park Golf Course. She shot an 83 on 18 holes. Sophomore and second-year varsity golfer Macy Miller shot a 91 and placed 3rd.

The team competed at the 4A State Preview at Hesston Golf Course. The team finished 7th out of 16 teams which is a good start for the team as they look to improve. 

Anika Paulsrudd stood out for Crusaders finishing 4th overall, shooting a 78. Paulsrudd looks to be a state contender and wants to improve for the rest of the season. 

Macy Miller finished 2nd on the team with a score of 94. Juliette Shank finished 3rd on the team with a score of 104.

When asked what they are most excited about as the season progresses, senior golfer Eva Goertz said,  “More team bonding and more progression in personal performance.”
