Today is School Transportation Appreciation Day and this whole week is School Bus Safety Week! We may be biased but we have the BEST transportation staff around. They get us to where we need to go safely and are the first and last faces our students see each day. Some even bring treats each week for their riders! Join us in thanking these very important people today!

While a tad late in acknowledging this, we want to share that we had over 130 staff members participate in Step-tember! Teams of staff competed in a daily step challenge over the course of September. As a staff, we logged nearly 29 million steps, which is the distance from Buhler to New Delhi and back! Our top stepper was Kara Whitaker, Instrumental Music Teacher for UV, PHMS, and BHS! Kara walked 554,519 steps over the course of September! For her efforts, she earned a new pair of running shoes. Fitting prize, huh? Our top stepping team was the Band Boys which included Kara, Joel Montes, Nathan Biggs and Alex Meek! Congrats to all of them!! We are proud of all our staff for engaging in this fun wellness activity. We are committed to taking care of ourselves so that we can be the best for our students! We will have more challenges throughout the year in an effort to Be Well to #Bexceptional!

Today we had the honor of officially dedicating “Jory Konrade Field” at Prairie Hills Middle School. Mr. Konrade was an amazing educator, coach, and person. He left a special mark on the entire Buhler Schools community. The quote from the sign is something that Mr. Konrade told his team and students often and is so important to remember no matter what challenges come our way. Jory’s immediate family and extended family and friends were able to attend the dedication as pictured below.

Bachelor's Degree or higher and Social Work experience in K-12 settings preferred. This position will work 3 hours per day in multiple buildings as a liaison between USD 313 and Mental Health Providers. Kinders are crafting designs of "monsters" for their Middle School Buddies who will then turn their designs into stuffed creatures! RCEC has a half time certified position available at Prairie Hills Middle School and paraeducator openings at all buildings, with a high need at Buhler Grade School, Union Valley, and Prairie Hills.
